January–March

ISE 2027 · 2–5 February · Fira Gran Via. Europe’s leading audiovisual and integrated systems show. Not a finance event, but a good one if you work on experiences, retail or connected spaces.

MWC Barcelona and 4YFN · 1–4 March · Fira Gran Via. Mobile World Congress is the city’s biggest tech event of the year, and 4YFN is its startup platform: founders, investors and corporates in the same hall. If you are raising or looking for corporate clients, this is the busiest week of the year. Book accommodation months ahead: prices soar.

Spring–summer

These months are full of smaller gatherings: investor meetups, accelerator demo days and fintech and AI sector days. Most announce dates only a few weeks ahead, so follow the calendars of Barcelona Activa, Tech Barcelona and the industry associations.

September–December

European Blockchain Convention · 2027 date TBC. In 2026 it took place on 16–17 September. Europe’s reference event for blockchain, digital assets and regulation (MiCA).

Barcelona New Economy Week (BNEW) · 2027 date TBC. In 2026 it ran from 5 to 7 October at DFactory in the Zona Franca. Digital economy, logistics, real estate and talent.

Smart City Expo World Congress · 2–4 November · Fira Gran Via. The world congress on smart cities: mobility, energy, digital government and a lot of public and private investment.

Tech Spirit Barcelona · 2027 date TBC. The local tech ecosystem’s gathering; in 2026, on 2–3 December at Casa Llotja de Mar.

DEXT FORCE 2027: finance, AI and startups on one stage

DEXT FORCE is Barcelona’s finance, banking, investment, artificial intelligence and startups congress, with an electronic music after party when the sun goes down. The 2025 edition at Poble Espanyol brought together 29 speakers across 17 sessions: institutional crypto investment with Bitpanda, TradingView, Bitget and Bybit, tax, applied AI and founders on how they reached their first million.
